The legend started over 30 years ago by it's founder in Sha Tin District, Hong-Kong. The "roasted squab" became a signature dish was famed throughout Hong-Kong.
Following the successful model of good business, the second generation of Sun Sui Wah opened the first restaurant in Vancouver amid the 80s. Soon after, opened another location in Richmond setting a new trend and elevated the standards of local Chinese restaurants. Although many have followed in the footsteps, few have succeeded with such acclaim and rave reviews from loyal patrons and members of the dining/service industry.
Over the years, the restaurant has hosted many U.S. and oversea visitors to enjoy worldwide honor and recognition. The Famous Roasted Squab
The famous roasted squab, a signature dish marinated with a secret blend of seasoning and spices to bring out the best flavors, roasted till crispy with tender juiced meat. One taste and it becomes habit forming. Although the squab is a delicacy more familiar to the Asian culture, now everyone is discovering its' delicious taste and health values.
This fowl is low on fat and cholesterol, contains protein, calcium and other essential mineral. According to Chinese medicine, it has healing properties to aid in liver & kidney functions and contain anti-toxins for cleansing of the internal organs. Alaska King Crab
Indigenous to the deep clear waters of Alaska and free from pollutants, the Alaska King Crab is truly King of the sea with tender juicy sweet meat.
Due to the restaurants' strong emphasis in bringing the best and freshest seafood to the table, they determined that with King Crabs, fresh is far more superior to the frozen product. After numerous testing in the kitchen among the chefs, they discovered the perfect way to prepare the crab to bring out the fresh natural taste. Restaurant Facilities
Both Richmond and Vancouver locations offer elegant banquet rooms as well as VIP rooms to accommodate smaller groups. A party of twenty! No problem! Sun Sui Wah has a jumbo sized VIP table to fit up to 20 persons.
